The Cabin app is part of a research study being conducted at Northern Michigan University by the Cognitive × Affective Behavior & Integrative Neuroscience (i.e., CABIN) Lab in the Psychology Department. If you are a participant in the study, please download the app and enter the unique participant ID provided during your first training session (should also be located in our follow up email to you). Each trial of the test will start with a small ‘+’ (plus sign) in the center of the screen. At all times keep your eyes fixated on the plus sign. After an initial period of fixation two stimuli will be briefly presented: one on each side of the screen. After these stimuli disappear. A small dot will appear either on the left or on the right side of the screen. Your task is to locate this dot as quickly as possible. Remember that the study requires you to complete 6 tests per week (no more than 3 in a single day) for a total of 6 weeks. Each test should take between 5-10 mins. Please take the test in a quite distraction free environment. If you have any questions or are not a participant, but would like to be, please contact us at [email protected].
